1. Smeg BCC02
Designed by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek, compact and striking machine pairs the distinctive retro style of the brand with cutting-edge technology. This machine handles all steps of the coffee-making procedure from grinding beans to tamping into a puck and texturing milk before dispensed the correct amount.
The machine is also available in red, black or taupe. It is a great fit into any kitchen design. The machine does not come free of flaws, however. The majority of reviewers thought it was quite expensive for a cup-to- bean maker (and does not come with a pitcher of milk).
However, there were plenty of glowing reviews about the quality of the coffee and the ease of using this machine. The digital display is intuitive and provides an easy-to-follow guideline and feedback throughout the brewing process, helping you make your drink perfect each time. The only drawback is the fact that it doesn't provide the same level of customization as other bean-to-cups we've tested. It has a pump that is 15 bars rather than the standard 19 bars. This is not as good for producing high-quality espressos. This is a fantastic machine for those who prefer their coffee dark and strong. Click here to see Lavazza's fantastic deal.
